Elle Divine at the “Sunod Sulog” Art Symposium

To celebrate student art life in Foundation University, the Fine Arts Department has invited our team at School of Zensitivity to present in a symposium titled“Sunod Sulog”.

With a small attendance of dedicated art students and two art instructors, our team shared our creative journey and art process with the students.

The first to present was Rianne Salvarita, arts instructor of the department. He presented the historical background and process of “Software as Art” and provided samples of works by sundry of modern and contemporary artists. Rianne has finished a degree in Fine Arts in a school in Bacolod City and formerly worked as cultural coordinator for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. He continues to exhibit his works while teaching.

It was then followed by Elle Divine’s “The HeART of Healing” – a presentation in the style of Pecha Kucha. She offered a glimpse of her art process, her current works, and inspirations. Previously based in Ubud, Bali-Indonesia, she is currently residing in Valencia at the Arthub Studio Gallery. She was a special fellow for the 53rd Silliman National Writers Workshop – the longest-running writers’ workshop in Asia. While living in Ubud, she has nurtured her healing energetic gift and has shared it with others. She originally hails from Australia.

The last presenter was Ra’z Salvarita – visual and performance artist, filmmaker – who offered a very short performance art to begin with. He observed the lack of interaction among students in the field of experiential-learning with performance art – a sign of improvement for the years to come. His focal point was sharing the elements of performance art fused in the process of installation art as tandem work with his performances. Ra’z is an educator and creative visionary artist of the School of Zensitivity and Gugma Gaia.

It’s a thrust for art education that S.o.Zen would likely to promote in one of its programs and to work in tandem with institutions that play a big role in keeping the spirit of Art alive.
